The Citadel is a registered charity, and a venue for live music and family shows - we've been at the heart of the St Helens community for 30 years. In fact, April 2018 marks our 30th birthday.
Please help us to raise money to enable our new St Helens Youth Theatre.
We're planning an amazing project for local young people, but we need your help.
Taking part in an arts project helps young people to feel happier, learn new skills, grow in confidence and make new friends.
Many of the young people who take part in our youth arts projects may not otherwise be able to access the theatre, and this means that they would otherwise miss out on the life-changing impact of the arts.
That's why we're creating a new St Helens Youth Theatre, creating a performance to celebrate not only the Citadel's 30th birthday, but also the 150th birthday of St Helens - and culminating in an amazing performance in the town at the end of 2018.
With local young people involved, we'll use drama and performance to tell the history of St Helens , and we will ask the local community for their memories, photographs and stories.
It will be a true community performance, bringing together local people of all ages, abilities and walks of life. And helping everyone to feel proud of what they have achieved together.
What we need
We need to raise £500 to support this project. Please support us and please share our page.
Amazing news - we can double your money!
The Citadel has been chosen for an amazing opportunity by the Arts Council. The Arts Council have promised to match every pound we fundraise - so every pound you donate will be doubled, at no additional cost to you.
That's every pound, penny or note - and we have until April 2019 to raise as much as we can.
